AusHSI Partnership Grant supports genomic diagnostic service for blood cancer patients

Professor Matt Brown’s research has investigated the first genomic diagnostic service in Queensland providing whole-exome sequencing for blood cancer patients. The technology has been tested on 100 blood cancer patients to identify actionable genetic mutations not covered by current genetic testing in order to inform individual treatment decisions (and avoid procedures that are unlikely to be effective).
