AusHSI forms part of the QUT evaluation team which will lead the assessment of a $27 million program for the prevention of chronic disease in Queensland. The recently announced Health 4 Life! Project is funded by the Queensland Department of Health. QUT were part of a successful bid team called the Better Health Alliance.
This Alliance is made up of peak NGOs including Diabetes Queensland, Heart Foundation, Stroke Foundation, Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council, Ethnic Communities Council, Primary Health Networks and Ernst and Young. The project will see 10 000 Queenslanders at high risk of chronic disease complete a healthy lifestyle program over a four year period.
