Jesani Catchpoole
Injury Data Analyst

Dr Jesani Catchpoole is a data analyst at the Jamieson Trauma Institute. She has over a decade of experience in injury data analysis, working on a broad selection of injury topics and using data from various sources such as emergency department data, admitted patient data, ambulance data and coroner’s data. Jesani is qualified in health information management and clinical coding. Since completing her PhD, which focused on health data utilisation to support product safety initiatives, Jesani has continued to work as a data analyst at the Queensland Injury Surveillance Unit.

Over the years, Jesani has also contributed to several injury-related research projects at AusHSI, including the trauma data linkage project and the consumer product safety project. Jesani’s expertise and knowledge are in the areas of injury surveillance, product safety and injury classification.
