Alexia Rohde
Adjunct Senior Lecturer – Health Services Innovation
Alexia is a Manager on the Improvement Team, Patient Safety and Quality, at Clinical Excellence Queensland Health. Previously, Alexia worked as a senior lecturer in Health Services Innovation at AusHSI and coordinated the corporate Graduate Certificate in Health Science (Health Services Innovation) with Metro North Hospital and Health Service.
Originally trained as a speech pathologist, Alexia has worked clinically in hospitals across Queensland and the United Kingdom working with adult inpatient caseloads including stroke, traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions. From this frontline clinical experience Alexia developed an interest in health services innovation and research directed at improving evidence-based healthcare.
Alexia is an experienced evidence-based practice and implementation researcher who has led, developed, and executed multidisciplinary healthcare innovations that are used daily in frontline stroke clinical care within hospitals across Australia, United Kingdom and United States of America. She is the creator of the Brisbane Evidence-Based Language Test.
