Gill Harvey
Implementation Scientist
Gill joined AusHSI as an Adjunct Professor in 2016. She brings to AusHSI expertise in implementation science and evidence-based healthcare.
Originally trained as a nurse, Gill is based at Flinders University in South Australia in a role as Matthew Flinders Fellow and Professor of Health Services and Implementation Research. She leads a program of research on ‘Better Systems’ in the Caring Futures Institute within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and is a Co-Director within a newly established Aged Care Centre for Growth and Translational Research.
Gill has worked closely with fellow AusHSI Adjunct Professor Alison Kitson to develop, test, and refine the Promoting Action on Research Implementation in Health Services (PARIHS) and integrated-PARIHS (i-PARIHS) frameworks. Gill works with healthcare providers to implement and evaluate new knowledge across clinical and management settings.
